There's only one way to say it: it just feels different at KeyBank Center in Buffalo, NY. The Buffalo Sabres captured the hearts of the city in the early 2000s, and after years of re-tooling, re-configuring, and re-aligning their long-term vision, the club has a legitimate shot of winning a title as a top team in the Eastern Conference's side of the Stanley Cup Playoffs. It's been quite some time since the franchise was in this position, which is why Manager of Game Presentation Autumn Bolton is relishing every moment in her first full season in the National Hockey League. After nearly three years working in athletics for the United States Air Force Academy and a short five-month stint with the Iowa Heartlanders of the ECHL, she received her call up to The Show in September 2025 and has ran with the opportunity.
On the latest episode of SVG GameDay, Bolton explains the internal collaboration that makes home games possible, the unique experience of working with student-athletes at a military institute, the moments that have stood out in her career, how networking and relationship building are two key pieces of advice to obtaining success in this industry, how her collegiate years at Indiana University of Pennsylvania and Temple University was the first step on this journey, and much more.
