As part of its drive to be ahead of the televisual curve, the Deutsche Fußball Liga (DFL) produced coverage of the 2024 German Supercup final as a live stream for mixed reality glasses and headsets, giving viewers a 360-degree pitchside view of the on-field action. This session will explain how and why they did it, what they have learned from the projects, how a 360-degree production dovetails with a traditional broadcast workflow, and what could potentially happen next with this type of technology and viewing experience.
Speakers:
Dominik Scholler, DFL, VP of Product Management & Innovation
Jan Deckenbrock, DFL, Head of Product Innovation
