After Diamond Sports Group was unable to make payments to the Arizona Diamondbacks, and DSG's contract was subsequently rejected by a bankruptcy court judge, Major League Baseball's Local Media department sprung into action and took over production and distribution of all local games starting on July 18. In addition to their local production of ballgames for the San Diego Padres, the league implemented a handful of new technologies that aren't typically seen at the local level.
