This case study will highlight how the PGA TOUR and their partner ecosystem leverage the flexibility and density of the Appear X platform across IP Networks, ASI, and satellite mediums for remote production of the Champions Tour and contribution delivery workflows to domestic and international partners for all PGA tour live events.
The PGA TOUR utilizes the full gamut of tools within the X Platform. In tandem with technology partners NEP and PSSI, the facilities and trucks feature a mix of ST2110 and SDI hand offs, HEVC and JPEG XS Codecs for Contribution over IP Networks, utilizing TSoIP, SRT, and ASI / Satellite where appropriate. Workflows include live feed contribution into PGAs cloud production infrastructure as well as content delivery to multiple distribution partners.
Advanced monitoring is driven by X Platform’s Prometheus Metrics, giving visibility across the ecosystem from source signal to contribution network health.
