SailGP is an action-packed, in-shore international sailing competition mid-way through its third season of racing. In only its second year, SailGP reported a 131% increase in its dedicated broadcast audience of 39.2m, along with 16 million event live stream views on SailGP’s digital platforms, including YouTube and Facebook, with a total watch time of 2.5 million hours.
Chief Content Officer Melissa Lawton - who is responsible for SailGP’s production strategy and leading the team responsible for delivering SailGP’s global content offering - speaks about SailGP’s digital strategy, including its approach to distribution, the types of content SailGP creates for online audiences and why, and how that content is created and shared online.
