Entering its 10th season, CBS Sports' premiere all-women studio show, We Need To Talk, is continuing its upward trajectory with immense growth. Discussing important sports topics while also tackling important issues at the intersection of sports and current events, the show's unique draw is their breadth of on-air talent. From commentators and reporters to athletes, the show also includes business administrators.
To celebrate this milestone and aim towards the show's future, the network created a new graphics package through the assistance and creativity of illustrator Kasiq Jungwoo. For the show's third overall graphics revamp, the artistic direction is allowing these pieces to be used in marketing and promotions for We Need To Talk as well as branding for each individual talent. Behind the scenes, key players include Senior Director, Creative, Michael DeFusco; Senior Designer, Motion Graphics, Fabien Leon; Senior Graphic Designer Jessica Sciulli; Director, On-Air Design, Lynn McCormick; Art Designer Jane Holland; and Creative Services Coordinator Gabriella Competiello.
In this interview, CBS Sports' VP, Original Programming and Features and Coordinating Producer of We Need To Talk, Emilie Deutsch, and Senior Designer Danielle Pablo highlight the ideas and inspirations that went into the brainstorming process, break down the stylistic elements seen in the package, the technology used to create the overall design, and what it meant to be a part of this project.
