ESPN’s Tim Corrigan’s Reflects on 18 Years at the NBA Finals Front Bench
19m
Tonight, when Tim Corrigan takes his usual seat at the front bench for Game 3 of the NBA Finals it will mark one of his last outings as lead producer for the prestigious hoops telecast in the business. Corrigan, who has produced the past 18 NBA Finals (more than anyone in history), is moving on to his next chapter to oversee all of ESPN’s NBA and WNBA properties as SVP of Production.
SVG's Jason Dachman sat down with Corrigan in advance of Game 3 in Indianapolis to discusses his journey at the front bench and the evolution of ESPN's NBA production philosophy since 2008. He also reflects on his most memorable NBA Finals editions (including the unforgettably challenging 2020 bubble in Orlando), how ever-advancing technology has played a major role in ESPN's coverage over the years, and how the ultra-close NBA on ESPN team has collaborated and formed unbreakable bonds over the past two decades.
