In what's become a yearly tradition since its return in 2022, the Aer Lingus College Football Classic in Dublin will officially kick off the 2025 college football season. Pitting the No. 17 Kansas State Wildcats vs. the No. 22 Iowa State Cyclones at Aviva Stadium, ESPN will once again be at the center of the action as the main broadcaster for this Week 0 affair. But nearly 3,000 miles away from the Irish capital, a broadcast crew will produce this show remotely back at headquarters in Bristol, CT.
Over on the Emerald Isle, SVG's Samantha Gabay spoke with ESPN's Remote Operations Specialist Kevin Cleary about the preparations for this game, how they're working with both NEP Group and local vendors to set up their infrastructure, the intricacies of delivering this 20-path REMI back to the U.S., and more.
