Diversified recently finished up a major project at University of Texas at Austin, delivering one most advanced ST 2110 IP broadcast infrastructures in college sports. The Texas Studios production center is a state-of-the-art facility located inside Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium. It features four new production control rooms, a central server room, a camera shading workspace, three audio control rooms, an engineering operations center, a kitchenette and a studio multipurpose space. SVG caught up with Diversified Account Executive Christine Williamson at the SVG College Summit to discuss how future-ready facility reflects what's possible for major college athletics programs using today's cutting-edge media infrastructure.
In addition, Williamson discussed a new immersive stadium sound project at at Iowa State, the growth of Diversified’s sports and live events division (including the recent key hire of industry veteran John Mills), three drivers of ST 2110 adoption (Maturity, Affordability, and Expectation), the introduction of Diversified’s new cloud production platform dubbed Atlas, and how ST 2110 and cloud technologies are foundational to the future of college sports production – with Diversified committed to guiding that transition.
