Automation for the People: AI and Live Multi-Camera Production
SVG Europe's Sports Production Innovation Summit 2026
•
33m
AI-assisted automatic production is moving from trial to deployment, transforming how live sporting events are captured, crewed and delivered. This session will examine where automation is adding value today, from intelligent camera systems that track play and generate usable angles, to software-driven workflows that reduce reliance on traditional gallery roles.
Importantly, rather than replacing human roles, these tools are redefining and bolstering them. We’ll explore emerging hybrid models, with operators overseeing and refining output rather than controlling every shot, and what that means (good and bad) for quality, creativity and editorial control. The session will also consider the shift to integrated, software-based environments, where switching, audio, replay and highlights sit within a single interface.
Panelists:
Jens Cornelius Knudsen, DMC Production, Managing Director, Norway
Ian Wray, Spiideo, Senior Director of Media Partnerships
Dave Greene, Studio Automated, Sales Director
