How does one build and populate a virtual replica of Burning Man that empowers developers of every skill level, embraces the essence of “Burning Man”, and needs to be ready in just two weeks? Medici’s Gregg Katano, formerly Senior Advisor of Virtual Burning Man, will share how Greg Edwards, Co-Founder/Sr. Architect devised a template language and the front-end and back-end development that supported over 500 artists, organically grew from less than 100 to over 300 art worlds and generated 1500 hours of live and interactive content in a single week, and brought the Burning Man experience to 100,000 visitors that were displaced in 2020.
