Not far removed from the 2022 FIFA Men's World Cup in Qatar, Fox Sports' Remote Studio Operations team was tasked with not only pulling off that massive undertaking on the Corniche but also planning their onsite presence for Super Bowl LVII. The finished product features a two-pronged approach: a large outdoor structure on The Great Lawn that features a replica demo field and ample space for televised programming and another studio in the corner of one end zone for Sunday's pregame, halftime, and postgame coverage.
VP, Remote Studio Operations, Rod Conti breaks down the unique details of the outdoor studio space, the indoor elements of their retractable and collapsible field set, how these activations compare to the one executed in December in Doha, the assistance of Filmwerks to erect both footprints, and his fellow colleagues that were essential to this project.
