In this SVG New Sponsor Spotlight, Max Eisendrath, CEO of RedFlag AI, discusses the company's mission to combat live sports streaming piracy, a problem often underestimated by leagues and broadcasters. Red Flag AI offers an automated IP infringement detection and takedown tool called Cyclops, targeting real-time enforcement during live events. Cyclops can achieve a “time to kill” for piracy streams in as little as 30 seconds, allowing takedowns across websites and social platforms either manually or via automation.
Sports broadcasters have historically lagged behind Hollywood in digital protection but are starting to recognize the importance of centralized content protection strategies. With that in mind, Cyclops aims to centralize what used to be handled by multiple vendors—DRM, monitoring, CDN integration—into a single platform to simplify workflows.
According to Eisendrath, Red Flag AI's 2025 goal is comprehensive coverage of piracy protection across all delivery systems—digital, OTT, and linear—with enhanced regional and platform-specific approaches. Expansion plans also include static content protection and NIL/trademark monitoring, streamlining these under the same Cyclops platform. Eisendrath believes making content protection simpler and more user-friendly is key to wider adoption among leagues and broadcasters, many of whom previously saw it as a burden.
