Home to 12 professional sports teams, it's extremely difficult to standout in the city of Los Angeles. Luckily, the game presentation and entertainment department of the National Hockey League's Los Angeles Kings is led by someone who truly understands the way the business works. Sean Tabler, who serves as VP of Production & Entertainment, has solidified his approach to in-venue shows through numerous stops along his journey. After his early stages working in Hollywood, he served as lead video editor for the Seattle Seahawks for four years before transitioning to his current home in Los Angeles. Tabler led gameday productions for the Los Angeles Chargers as Director of Game Presentation for nearly half a decade before joining the Kings as VP of Live Events in April 2022.
On the latest episode of SVG GameDay, Tabler shares how he's adapted to life as an executive for a NHL franchise, how he balances theme games and regular games throughout the season, mitigating burnout during a long 81-game home schedule, the technologies and workflows that are driving shows at Crypto.com Arena including new LED flags down at ice level, and much more.
